HeelBoi is a graphic designer and illustrator who has been working within the professional wrestling community for around 11 years.

He started experimenting with Photoshop at 14, with the ambition of creating wrestling merchandise that fans would genuinely want to wear. Frustrated by how much wrestling merchandise left something to be desired, he wanted to create designs that could appeal to wrestling fans and even inspire interest in non-wrestling fans.

His work has since been featured by TNA/IMPACT, DPW, AEW and various independent promotions. He believes wrestling has limitless creative possibilities, and that wrestling-inspired design doesn't always have to scream wrestling. There's always room to experiment, challenge expectations and try something different.

What is one thing about the wrestling game creative scene you wish more people knew?

I wish more people realised just how much creative freedom there is within wrestling. I think sometimes we get caught up in what wrestling has always looked like, or what we think wrestling-related creative work is supposed to be. But wrestling has limitless possibilities, and that should extend to everything surrounding it.

Whether it's graphic design, illustration, photography, video or any other creative outlet, there's no reason to play it safe or stick to the same familiar ideas. Some of the most interesting work comes from those who are willing to experiment, take inspiration from anything and everything and then those people will always bring something completely different to the table.

I'd love to see more people embrace that freedom and realise there's no single right way to be creative within wrestling.
