How to Use PWFT
A complete guide to booking your wrestling universe.

Roster Page

This page is where you manage all the wrestlers in your universe. You can add new ones, change their show, or see their win/loss records.

Tips:

  • Use the "Import Roster" button to add many wrestlers at once from an Excel file.
  • Click "View" on any wrestler to see their full history, including championships they've won and stories they've been in.
  • Double-click on a wrestler's name in the table to quickly edit it.

How This Page Connects:

The wrestlers you manage here are the foundation of your universe. Everything you do on other pages, like booking matches on the Calendar or creating championships on the Titles page, will involve the wrestlers from this list.

Shows & Events Page

This page is where you set up your TV shows and big events. Think of these as your brands, like Raw or SmackDown.

Tips:

  • A Weekly Show repeats on the same day every week in your calendar.
  • A One-Time Event is for your major Pay-Per-View style shows that happen on a specific date.
  • Assigning a unique color makes your show stand out on the calendar.

How This Page Connects:

The shows you create here will automatically appear on your Calendar. You can then assign wrestlers from your Roster to a specific show, making them exclusive to that brand.

Calendar Page

The Calendar is your main screen for booking shows. Here, you'll set up matches for each show, decide who wins, and move your universe's timeline forward.

Tips:

  • The current date your universe is on will have a red border. This is the show you should be booking.
  • Click on any date to see the show's card and add matches or segments.
  • You can only advance to the next show after you've set a winner for all the matches on the current day's show.
  • Use the "Simulate" button to let the computer automatically book and decide winners for shows, which is great for moving through time quickly.

How This Page Connects:

This is where everything comes together. Booking matches here affects wrestler records (Roster), title histories (Titles), and the story progress for your rivalries (Stories).

Titles Page

This is where you create and manage all the championships for your wrestlers to fight over.

Tips:

  • You can create singles titles for one wrestler or tag team titles for teams of 2 or more.
  • Titles can be assigned to a specific show or be "Universe-wide" and defended anywhere.
  • When you resolve a title match on the Calendar, the champion and title history will automatically update.

How This Page Connects:

The titles you create here can be put on the line in matches you book on the Calendar. A wrestler's profile on the Roster page will show all the championships they've held.

Tournaments Page

Create exciting tournaments to crown a new champion, determine a #1 contender, or just for bragging rights.

Tips:

  • Tournaments are single-elimination and can have 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 wrestlers.
  • The first-round matchups are set randomly, but you can drag and drop wrestlers to create your own seeds before the tournament starts.
  • Book tournament matches directly from the bracket view. As you complete matches, the bracket will automatically advance the winners.

How This Page Connects:

Tournament matches are booked onto your shows via the Calendar. If a vacant Title is set as the prize, the tournament winner will automatically become the new champion.

Stories & Rivalries Page

This is where you plan out your narratives. A match is just a match, but a match that's part of a story has meaning.

Tips:

  • Stories are the big picture, like "A Hero's Downfall." You write a summary and tag the wrestlers involved.
  • Rivalries are direct feuds between wrestlers or teams. The app automatically creates a history of every match and segment between the rivals.
  • You can link a Rivalry to a larger Story to create more detailed narratives.

How This Page Connects:

When you book matches or segments on the Calendar, the app automatically updates the history for any related Stories and Rivalries, helping you keep track of your booking.

Groups Page

Organize your wrestlers into tag teams and stables to create alliances and tell bigger stories.

Tips:

  • Teams are for small groups of 2-3 wrestlers.
  • Factions are for larger stables of 4-10 wrestlers. You can also name a leader for the faction.
  • You can quickly add a whole Team or Faction to a multi-person match instead of selecting each wrestler one by one.

How This Page Connects:

The groups you create here can be quickly added to matches when you're booking shows on the Calendar page.
