Creators and e-feds
Being on the card is a responsibility. Here is the story behind the show, what it means to be part of it, and how to apply.
Jump to the applicationI want to give as many people in this space their shine as possible.
I came into this as a huge fan of Universe Mode, and yes, PWFT started as a way to track it. But for years I knew there was a better way to do this. I had a really good system, a way of thinking about it, and a vision for what it could be. I honestly thought nobody had thought about it the way I had, and I had never seen anything out there like what I was building. So I wanted to create something totally new.
Then people organically started using PWFT to track their e-feds and their CAWs.
I always knew about this space, but I was super surface level in it, because I was always so locked into fantasy booking lol.
With people using the app that way, I started to learn about it, and I started to realize just how deep the creativity layer goes. Every year I would search Twitter for the best models of real-life CAWs to fantasy book in my Universe Mode. That stuff was incredible, but I didn't know about the CAW community behind it.
A CAW can have so many layers behind it. People who make textures. People who create attires. People who build movesets. Graphic designers who build the brand. And in some cases, very real people who literally live the gimmick online. It's actually incredible lol.
There are so many creative people in this space. I hope this reaches beyond the CAW audience and into the greater Universe Mode community. If it had reached me back when I was a locked-in Universe Mode player, I absolutely would've hired someone to make the CAWs I couldn't find in the game. I would've paid someone a few bucks to make a cool logo for my characters.
These people are so talented, and they deserve a stage. We want to give it to them.
CreatorMania is something totally new too. Nobody has done a show like this in this space, so we are all figuring it out together. That is half the fun.
Built together. For the Good of Pro Wrestling.
Joe LaRocca, President of PWFT
I've seen crossover e-fed shows before. That's not what this is. Sure, there will be some crossover matchups, but CreatorMania is a celebration of creators. The whole point is to give as many people in this space their shine as possible.
Some matches put creators and characters who have never shared a ring in the same one.
Some matches showcase and bring to a head real stories people are already telling on the CAW scene.
Real people, real hosts and real stories, mixed with the game on one stage.
The whole show premieres live on YouTube, so the community watches it together as it airs, your segment included.
Joey Echevarria and Joe LaRocca host the night between the action.
The e-fed behind each match and its editing team make the pre-match promo video. It tells their story, and it is their chance to flex their promo-making skills.
Where a normal show has ad breaks, we hand the screen to the community. Submit a promo for your company that shows what you are all about.
Short features sprinkled through the night, where promotions show off what they are building and how good their videos can get.
Like we do in the app, we are doing some things that have never been done before in the wrestling game space. You will see them live. It will be a lot of fun.
